This film transports viewers to the western United States where water in all its forms—snow, water, and clouds—serve to radically shape the land’s ecology and ability to support life. As the climate warms, the timing and location of water’s presence is shifting, leading to increasing periods of drought. Juxtaposing the impact of humanity’s development on the land with natural scenery, the film poetically laments humanity's inability to achieve sustainability with the planet.
